Master’s and doctoral students have access to a wide range of financial support and scholarships from the school, Indiana University, and outside sources such as the federal government.
Many of our graduate students continuing in Ph.D. programs are supported with a Student Academic Appointment in the form of a Research Assistantships or Associate Instructorships position. These appointments receive a fee remission and a monthly stipend for the tenure of the appointment based upon degree progress and academic performance.
UGS Internal Fellowship & Awards
The University Graduate School offers several internal and external Fellowships and Awards. The application process and deadlines vary by Fellowship and Award so be sure you read the requirements carefully. If you are interested being nominated for an internal Fellowship and Award, email your department to let them know that you are interested in being nominated.
The Office of International Services has information about financial aid and employment for international students. See the information about financial aid for prospective graduate students, employment for F-1 students and J-1 students, and other money matters.
