Prerequisite(s):

Examines the human factors associated with information technology and seeks to provide students with knowledge of the variables likely to influence the perceived usability, and hence the acceptability, of any information technology. In so doing it will enable students to progress further towards specialist’s work in the important field of human-computer interaction.

      Supplementary Description: This course offers an introduction to the field of human−computer interaction and an overview of the interaction design process. Students will learn the relevant basics of human psychology, cognition, sociology, communication studies, user research, and the design principles. Students will also explore topics related to human−computer interaction from various perspectives by associating them with social, cultural, ethical, and other considerations.
