Women in IT Reception - Spring 2016

Immediately prior to the Tuesday, January 26th SoIC Career Fair, join employer representatives and students for the special Women in IT Reception from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Bloomington Convention Center. The Women in IT Reception is an event connecting women students from the School of Informatics and Computing and employers seeking to support the advancement of women in the tech industry. Meet and greet with students and other employer representatives from a variety of industries.

The Women in IT Reception will include a brief SoIC alumnae panel from 9:30am to 10:00am.

Corinthe Bailey

Corinthe Bailey BS '09, MS'11
Corinthe Bailey graduated with a Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction Design (HCI/d) and a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, receiving both from the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University. She loves to design any technologies that yield aesthetic experiences, as she is passionate about people and she has a talent for design and technology. Corinthe is a user experience researcher for the User Experience Design Studio (UXDS) at Salesforce. In creating new products, she is responsible for making design recommendations based on users and personas. Corinthe interacts with customers to learn about their wants needs and expectations of Salesforce products. Taking user feedback and turning it into useful data and information for the product managers and making informed recommendations is the main focus of her role. She is essentially a liaison between the customer, the product manager, and the development team.

Kerry Haworth

Kerry Haworth BS'99, MIS'09
Kerry Haworth was born and raised in southern Indiana.  She attended Indiana University Southeast where she earned a B.S. in secondary education – English in 1999 and then Indiana University – Bloomington earning a M.S. in Information Science in 2009.  Kerry has worked in the knowledge management field in several industries focused primarily on education technology.  She spent three years with the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation as the knowledge manager for the K-12 education strategy.  Kerry returned to Indiana in early 2015 and is currently an independent contractor working on knowledge management, product management, and project management for an ed tech startup she connected with during her tenure at the Gates Foundation.

Kristin Moore BS'11
Kristin Moore was born and raised in Evansville, IN. She attended Indiana University - Bloomington where she graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in Informatics from the School of Informatics and Computing, and two minors in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from the Kelley School of Business. She has been working for Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN as a clinical application analyst since 2012. Kristin is currently a senior analyst serving all clinics and campuses affiliated with IU Health across the state. In addition to working at IU Health she is a graduate student at Indiana Wesleyan University working towards her Master's in Business Administration. Kristin remains an avid Hoosier fan. She enjoys travelling back to Bloomington to cheer on the Hoosiers, and participating in alumni events throughout the year.

All female SoIC students are invited to attend, whether you are in the job or internship market or simply learning more about the kinds of jobs available in this area. It is a great opportunity to ask questions, network with peers and potential employers, and become better informed about your future possibilities.
